I have the best friends in my life, I really do. They understand me, and know that I have a crafty addiction and even help support it.
My friend Michelle called me last night and offered to gift to me her Silhouette SD... how great is that? I was a little surprised, but accepted readily as Mac has not been agreeing to download the software for my old Silhouette.
I bought my original Silhouette 4 years ago, after much debate and thought. A machine that hooks up to my computer and will cut images? Awesome. I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. The process was a little more techie than I'd thought, and it didn't do some of the things that I really needed it to do. Bottom line, I wasn't ready for it. So it stayed in a box for a while after we moved, and then was displayed in a prominent place in my scrap room. It begged me to use it. Finally, I started to understand it's functions a little more and incorporated it into my scrapping by using it for titles and other text elements for my pages. Since then, they have upgraded the software and made it a little more user friendly. I keep it for certain things, as it only cuts 8.5X11. I also have a Cricut Expression that I use as well.
When I got Mac a few months ago, I'd made sure that the software was compatible, but for some reason, my old Silhouette was not recognized. Mac didn't like it I guess. I was afraid that I would never be able to access my thousands of downloads again, when I got the phone call from Michelle. So now there is a new kid on the block and Mac has accepted her. Peace reigns in the World of Scrap.
